If I were to create a commercial I would say I'll be a really good candidate to create a commercial for The American Victory Museum. I have to admit that this is actually my favorite project out of all of the projects. As a veteran myself, I thought this would be really cool to show others on what the ship is about. I really love artifacts and the history behind them. Especially with military history, I find it so interesting even though the war history is sad but it's very informational to know what happened, so I figured it would be good to promote something that I could relate to and hopefully people would find the WWII ship interesting to visit. How I approached my narrative was to give a small piece of information about the American Victory Museum on when it was fully built and that it was one of the last ships that were built during WWII. Then I provided information on what the ships hold and what people would experience when they visit the historical ship. I also added information on how supportive they are of our veterans and military service members.
How did I edit my video? Well, I used Adobe Premiere Pro and with my editing, I added in my narrative first so I can see how many pictures I need to put afterward. I then used pictures relating to my narrative and pictures that would flow with it as well. I used some of the pictures from the ship's website and added in historical pictures to make the video feel like it's back in the past. I tried adding extra transitions to my videos I had a little hard time trying to add extra in, but I was able to use audio transitions so that it can fade in and out of the video. I added text at the end that provided the viewer's information on where to find more information about the American Victory Museum and where it's located.
