Artist Statement

Abstraction in Architecture explores the possibility of abstraction within photography.

Contemporary architecture contains surfaces of colour, reflection, glass, and structure.
By isolating fragments of buildings, the familiar form of architecture begins to dissolve into visual patterns and abstract compositions.

Rather than documenting buildings, this work investigates how urban space can transform into abstraction through perception, colour, and reflection.

The images move between architecture and abstraction, where structure, reflection, and colour redefine how we experience the city.

작가 노트

Abstraction in Architecture는 사진을 통해 추상을 만들 수 있는지에 대한 질문에서 출발한 작업이다.

현대 도시의 건축 표면에는 색, 반사, 유리, 구조가 동시에 존재한다.
건물의 일부를 클로즈업하여 바라보면 건축의 형태는 점차 흐려지고 색과 면, 패턴이 만들어내는 추상적 이미지가 나타난다.

이 작업은 건축을 기록하는 사진이 아니라 도시 공간 속에서 발견되는 시각적 추상을 탐구하는 과정이다.
