I'm a filmmaker, writer, and cartoonist whose been taking my passions to heart since my early childhood. By the time I was in middle school, I began to write screenplays as a hobby. I still keep up with this hobby to this day; some stories I directed as short films such as my first-place film festival winner Writer's Block, Procrastination: The Thief of Time, and many more. Near the beginning of my junior year, I wrote and illustrated my webcomic series Kieren the Game Blogger. With my digital art and writing skills drastically increasing over the course of a year, I'm adapting the comic into a novelization that will include illustrations in-between pages. (That is at the time of writing this.) I also make time to write out scripts and plot summaries for future shows and movies I want to make in the future, all ranging from science-fiction, realistic fiction, and even animation.
Aside from writing, my other hobbies include watching movies and TV shows and playing video games. Some of my favorite movies span through many genres; The Social Network, Nightcrawler, Us, Blade Runner, and any film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If I included all my favorite movies, that would be devoted to a completely different page on it's own! My favorite TV shows also span through many genres; Breaking Bad, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Stranger Things, and The Flash and Black Lightning from the Arrow-verse. I even watch anime such as Dragon Ball Z, Summer Wars, and Durarara. My favorite video games are mostly story-based, such as Telltale's The Walking Dead series, GTA San Andreas, GTA V, and the Life is Strange series.
Drawing since the age of two, I continue to do so by illustrating in my sketchbook and creating digital art on my tablet. I upload some of these illustrations on my Instagram art account (which you can find a link to on my Contact page). At times, my art skills merge with my writing. Much like my webcomic, I also like to make character designs for characters I create whether the story is meant to be illustrated, animated or live action. This gives me a clearer vision of my stories and it's also something I believe will strengthen my communication along the lines of being a film director who could come up with their own concept art and storyboards.
