Kids & Coins Academy is a youth-led, nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing financial literacy to life for kids ages 7–13. Through our engaging educational tools, interactive workshops, and partnerships, we help young minds understand the value of money—and how to use it wisely.
We started with a simple question: Why do we wait so long to learn basic financial concepts?
Our founder, then a high school freshman with a passion for education and economics, noticed that financial literacy was often overlooked, especially in underserved communities. While volunteering in libraries and working with children, he realized that most educational materials were either too complex or simply unavailable. When they were available, they were uninteresting and mundane.
So in 2023, he launched Kids & Coins Academy with a mission to change that.
What began as a handful of homemade pamphlets—colorful guides breaking down saving, spending, budgeting, and giving—soon grew into a full-fledged initiative. We began partnering with local libraries to distribute our materials, designing kid-friendly activities, and building a team of like-minded students dedicated to financial education.
