About our program:
The Kids 'N' Us Summer Recreation Program was founded in 1997 by William McInnis. There have been 9 directors in that time. Our current director, Alan DeAngelis has been with us for 12 summers now and along with all our wonderful employees has grown the program into what it is today. Our program serves around 200 kids each summer from Mendon and the surrounding communities. We provide structured activities along with free play and daily swimming. The Parks Commissioners believe this program provides an essential service to the community, not just by offering childcare, but providing a safe and fun environment for children to get outdoors and be active. We are thrilled to continue the legacy of this great program for the residents of Mendon. We are also privileged to be able to offer seasonal employment opportunities to local teens, many of them working their first jobs. Our goal through this program is to provide a fun summer experience for local children to get outdoors and make new friends while also providing a safe place for them to enjoy the summer.
