Hello. My name is Rebeka. I’m a kidney doctor and researcher on this kidney transplant study. Transplant patients and healthcare professionals have been asking for ways to better understand what patients think about their healthcare. I’ve written a new healthcare experience survey for kidney transplant patients. I’ve done this with input and advice from different transplant healthcare professionals and, of course, from patients. This new survey asks about your experience when you were in hospital having your kidney transplant. And now I need your help to make sure the survey is properly tested before we use it more widely. This makes sure the survey is clear, understandable and asking about all the important things. If you’ve had a kidney transplant less than a year ago, then you can help by filling in the survey anonymously online. And please, I need people to fill it in twice, so I can check the survey works as I expect it to. I tell you how to do this at the end of the survey. This work is important, it’s being done on behalf of NHS Blood and Transplant and with a team at the Blood and Transplant Research Unit in Organ Donation and Transplantation at Newcastle University. You can find out more about these organisations on the website. Thank you. We really hope that by using this survey to better understand what patients think, we can work to make sure everyone has the best possible transplant experience.
