Overview
Undisturbed is a call-screening utility for Android. It lets you configure how incoming calls are handled according to your selected mode (Automatic, Working now, Pause work calls, or Off), working hours, contact classifications and other settings.
Undisturbed is designed to process the information needed for these functions on your Android device.
Information Undisturbed Uses
Depending on the features you use, Undisturbed may access or process:
Phone numbers associated with contacts that you select or classify.
Contact names and Android contact identifiers used to display and manage classifications.
Incoming call information made available to Undisturbed through Android's call-screening framework. Android also briefly makes outgoing-call information available through this same framework, for caller-ID purposes; Undisturbed does not process, act on, or record this.
Undisturbed settings such as mode, working hours, active days, call policies and Reply Later messages.
Undisturbed call-history records created by the app, including the time of the call and the screening decision and reason shown in the app.
Purchase and entitlement status for the optional Pro upgrade, managed by Google Play's own Billing service.
Contacts Permission
Undisturbed requests the Android READ_CONTACTS permission because contact information is part of its core functionality. Undisturbed uses contact information to classify saved phone numbers, resolve contact names, and apply contact-based call-screening rules.
Undisturbed also provides its own built-in contact-selection screen, with search and filtering, so you can choose one or more contacts when classifying them.
You can deny or revoke Contacts permission through Android settings. Some Undisturbed features, including contact-based call handling and contact-name resolution, may not function correctly without the permission.
How Information Is Used
Undisturbed uses the information described above to apply your configured call-screening rules, distinguish contact classifications, display contact information, record screening decisions in Undisturbed history, and prepare a Reply Later message in your device's SMS application when you choose that action.
Undisturbed does not automatically send Reply Later messages. When you choose Reply Later, Undisturbed prepares the message for the SMS application; you remain in control of whether and when the message is sent.
Data Sharing and Transmission
Undisturbed does not operate an Undisturbed server and does not upload your contacts, contact classifications, call-screening information, settings or Undisturbed history to an Undisturbed server.
The current Undisturbed application does not request the Android INTERNET permission and contains no network-based functionality for transmitting Undisturbed data to an Undisturbed service.
When you explicitly use an Android system feature such as the Telecom call-screening framework or SMS application, information may be handled by the relevant Android system component or application as necessary to perform that feature. Undisturbed does not automatically send Reply Later messages.
If you purchase the optional Pro upgrade, that purchase is processed and verified by Google Play's own Billing service, governed by Google's own privacy policy — this does not involve an Undisturbed server, which doesn't exist.
Undisturbed does not sell personal information and does not use personal or sensitive data for advertising.
Local Processing
Undisturbed's contact classification, settings, call-screening decision logic and call-history functions are designed to operate locally on your device.
Local Undisturbed data may include settings, contact classifications and call-history records needed to provide the app's features.
Data Retention and Deletion
Undisturbed may retain its own settings, contact classifications and call-history records on your device for as long as needed to provide the app's configured features.
You can remove individual contact classifications using the controls provided in the app. You can also clear Undisturbed's application data or uninstall Undisturbed using Android's system controls. Clearing application data or uninstalling the app may remove locally stored Undisturbed data.
Undisturbed does not provide user accounts, so there is no Undisturbed account or server-side account data to delete.
Security
Undisturbed is designed to minimize unnecessary data access and does not require Internet access for its core functionality.
Because Undisturbed processes information on your device, you should protect access to your Android device and use Android's built-in security controls.
Children's Privacy
Undisturbed is a general-purpose utility and is not directed specifically at children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Undisturbed's functionality, permissions or data practices change. The latest version will be made available at the published Privacy Policy URL.
