Overview of Kiddie Care Curriculum

You face big decisions as a parent and ask yourself about your child early educations. Kiddie Care would like parents to know that at Kiddie Care we make it our passion to nurture a sense of discovery, joy, and wonder in every child. We guide them on this road to discovery with our research-based standards and assessments along six developmental domains:

1. Social and Emotional Development

Supports your child’s ability to express and regulate feelings and develop relations with others.

2. Physical Development and Wellness

Gives your child opportunities to build large- and small-muscle skills, strength, stamina, and knowledge needed to live a healthy lifestyle.

3. Language and Literacy Development

Involves children’s abilities to convey their ideas, thoughts, and feelings through speaking and writing, and their ability to demonstrate early reading skills.

4. Executive Function

Focuses on the development of skills necessary for learning, such as self-regulation, attention, and persistence.

5. Cognitive Development

Supports the mental processes needed to think, make sense of the world, and understand knowledge across different subjects, including mathematics, science, and social studies.

6. Creative Expression

Helps your child creatively explore the arts, movement, drama, and music.

Tiny Tots (18 months - 3 year olds)

Toddlers are always on the move and when your child is all over the place, they’re discovering their world. Toddlers learn best in safe, loving places where they can explore, in their own way. The activities for this age group are built around toddlers’ limitless curiosity and their natural desire to push boundaries.

Inside Your Toddler’s Day

During their time with Ayesha and/ or Shahida your child will learn to count, discover writing and music, and start building toward following simple instructions, writing, and the potty.

BLOCKS:

Neighborhood Construction

The children will construct and talk about some of the familiar spaces and places in their communities.

CREATIVE ARTS:

Car Tracks

Children will use toy vehicles and different art mediums to create wheel-track designs and patterns.

Power-packed Pre-schoolers (3-4 year olds)

Our program introduces language, math, science, and social skills in a natural sequence to nourish learning one step and a time, with individual attention suited to your child’s unique needs.

Moments in Your Preschooler’s Day

Each day at our preschoolers explore science experiments, phonics, math games, create artwork, play characters and movement games. In this way they learn following directions and other key skills for learning success.

Science, Literacy and Math Activities

Literacy activities include identifying rhyming words and creating group stories on the flannel board. Math activities focus on positional words, identifying and creating shapes, and on measuring. Science activities are shaped with simple concepts such as the water cycle or the weather/ seasons of the year.

Crazy kindergarteners (4-5 year olds)

Getting Ready for a Lifetime of Learning

Your child will gain independence while getting ready for the transition to kindergarten with a more organized environment. Our passionate teachers will partner with you during this special time making their “senior year” of preschool the best it can be.

Your Prekindergartner’s Day

Each day your child will explore a variety of cultures, doing simple addition and subtraction, creating simple patterns, singing songs, doing art, and making music.

Literacy and Math Activities

Your child will have opportunities to write and talk about his or her state and states he or she has visited through journaling activities and during class discussions. Literacy activities include 1st-grade standard reading, writing. Two- and three-dimensional shapes will be discussed as your child explores the different shapes. Math activities focus on addition and subtractions.
