My name is KiddHillz. I make Afro-Rock from Lagos, a rhythm-heavy, emotional music carved out of distortion, heartbreak, and African soul.
I wrote “Saviour” in the darkest months of my life. No label. No co-sign. No paid promo. Just me, my small team, and a cracked laptop. I didn’t think anyone would hear it. But someone did — then thousands.
Now it’s over 4 million streams, mostly from strangers. Mostly broken too. That’s what Afro-Rock is: pain turned into sound big enough for other people to survive with.
Since then, the music has crossed 4M+ plays (3.9M on SoundCloud), with 70% of listeners tuning in from the U.S. “Saviour” charted on Shazam’s Alternative Rock Top 200 in Beijing, and fans left nearly 2,000 comments and reposts. I’ve staged five self-funded shows in Lagos ,no sponsors, no booking agents, just organic suppport from people singing word-for-word.
What’s next? More music. More shows. More visuals. The rise of Afro-Rock.
This is beyond just a sound. It’s a home for the misfits, the heartbroken, and the ones with broken dreams.
