KickShield ("the Extension") is a browser extension that enhances the Kick.com viewing experience by blocking ads and providing viewer tools. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension accesses and how it is handled.
Data Collection
KickShield does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.
The Extension does not:
Collect personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
Collect health, financial, or authentication information
Collect location data
Track browsing history outside of Kick.com
Record keystrokes, clicks, or mouse movements
Use cookies, fingerprinting, or analytics
Send any data to external servers or third parties
Sell or transfer any user data
The Extension stores only user preferences in the browser's local storage on the user's own device, including:
Feature settings (toggles, colors, preferences)
Tracked channels for live alerts
Watch-time statistics
Blocked/hidden channel lists
This data never leaves the user's browser. It is not uploaded, synced, or shared with anyone. Uninstalling the Extension removes all locally stored data.
Permissions
The Extension requests the following permissions solely to provide its features:
storage — Save user settings locally in the browser.
declarativeNetRequest — Block Kick video ad requests and ad slots.
alarms — Schedule periodic checks for live alerts and the sleep timer.
notifications — Notify the user when a followed channel goes live.
Host access to kick.com — Run ad blocking and viewer tools on Kick.com pages only.
To provide features such as role highlighting and mention tracking, the Extension reads chat messages displayed on Kick.com pages in real time. These messages are processed locally in the browser and are never collected, stored, or transmitted.
Third Parties
The Extension does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or analytics providers.
The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
