Stephanie Brotherton (aka. B) is the head coach of Kickapoo's speech and debate program. She has 2 "kids" Aria (23 years old) and Parker (21 years old) and has been married to her amazing high school sweetheart Joshua for 26 years.
She started competing in 7th grade giving her 35 years of experience competing or coaching. She graduated MSU (formerly known as SMSU) in 1999 and had already been hired to coach and teach at Marion C. Early high school. She left the education arena to raise her two amazing kids, and then back to Gloria Deo Academy to start a program that is now top 50 in the state. She found her way to Kickapoo in the fall of 2023, where she is excited to be building the best program in the state focused on all events including speaking, acting and debate!
She likes to win at competition but her main focus is helping students and adults find their unique talents and abilities and thriving in who "they be".
Anusha Chakraborty
Anusha Chakraborty is an alumnus of Kickapoo High School, where she competed in Policy Debate, OO, and extemp. She completed her degree in Elementary Education at Missouri State University, and is currently getting her Masters in Elementary Education with a graduate certificate in Literacy, she is also certified in Special Education K-12. She lives with her partner Shane and their two dogs Bear and Oreo. After many years of competing in debate, she is excited to come back and coach for her old team for the 4th year!
Hunter Maggard
Hunter is an alumnus of Kickapoo High School, where he competed in Public Forum Debate, Extemporaneous speaking, Radio Speaking and Extemp Debate. He is headed Missouri State University to pursue a degree in Political Science. He loves to teach and coach students in the fine art of debate and is a welcome addition to our phenominal team, as he starts his first year officially coaching for Kickapoo.
