Salt Lake Community College's Dental Hygiene Program has given me the wonderful opportunity to be a part of AmeriCorps and serve my community through service learning. This means I have been able to practice the skills that I have learned in school, during service opportunities throughout the Salt Lake Valley. A few of the clinics I have been able to work at are, Salt Lake Community College's Dental Hygiene Clinic, Rose Park Dental Clinic, Utah Partner's for Health, and Community Building Community (CBC) in Midvale. I have been able to work with people from all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. It has been a rewarding experience to help so many people have healthier and more confident smiles.
