Frequently Asked Questions
How do I log a prayer?
Tap any prayer on the dashboard to open the logging sheet. Select your status (On Time, Late, Missed, or Exempt), toggle congregation if applicable, and tap Log Prayer.
How are prayer times calculated?
Khushu calculates prayer times using standard astronomical formulas based on your location. You can choose from multiple calculation methods (MWL, ISNA, Egyptian, Umm Al-Qura, Karachi, and more) in Settings under Prayer Settings.
Can I change between Hanafi and Shafi madhab?
Yes. Go to Settings, then Prayer Settings, then Madhab (Asr Time) to switch between Hanafi and Shafi calculation for Asr time.
How do streaks work?
A streak counts consecutive days where you logged a prayer as On Time or Late. If you miss a day entirely, the streak resets. Exempt days do not break your streak.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored locally on your device only. No accounts, no servers, no cloud sync. Your privacy is fully protected.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings, then Data, then Export All Data (JSON). This generates a file you can save or share using your device's share sheet.
How do I restore my Khushu Pro subscription?
Go to Settings, then Khushu Pro, then tap Upgrade to Pro. On the paywall screen, tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Khushu and tap Cancel Subscription.
The app language did not change after I switched it.
After changing the language in Settings, you need to close and reopen the app for the change to take effect.
My prayer times seem incorrect.
Check that your location is set correctly in Settings under Prayer Settings. Also verify that you have selected the correct calculation method for your region. If you are in a high-latitude area, some methods may give different results.
