WEST HAWAI'I BEACH CLEAN UP - OLD AIRPORT BEACH PARK AND HAPUNA BEACH
The clean up will take place from Miloli'i to Kawaihae on the west side of the Big Island. Pre-cleaning briefing and sign in at Hapuna Beach South Pavilion to start at 7:30am. Receive t-shirt, cleanup up safety briefing, cleanup supplies. Potluck lunch.Old Airport "last pavilion" signup starts at 8am. Get pre-cleanup briefing, t-shirt, trash bags, gloves. Free lunch, music and prizes to follow. BRING: Personal water bottle, outdoor gear, hat, shoes, lunch or snack. PROVIDED: Jug of spring water, reusable cups and dishes, snacks, potluck lunch items. KAILUA-KONA PUBLIC LIBRARY BOOK SALE
The Friends of the Libraries, Kona (F.O.L.K.) is holding their next book sale on the lanai of the Kailua-Kona Public Library from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. Proceeds from book sales help support special programs and the needs of the Kona libraries. Teachers will receive special discounts with their official school ID, and F.O.L.K. members receive a 20% discount. As always, volunteers are welcome. Book donations are accepted at the library.
