Biography

Dr. Kuan-Hsien Liu received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from National Central University, Zhongli, Taiwan, in 1999, the M.S. degree in communication engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 2014. From October 2014 to September 2016, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Research Center for Information Technology Innovation, Academia Sinica, Taipei. From September 2016 to July 2017, he was an Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical Engineering at Chinese Culture University, Taipei, Taiwan. Since August 2017, he has been with the National Taichung University of Science and Technology, Taichung, Taiwan. He is currently an Associate Professor of Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering and the Director of Learning and Analytics (LA) Laboratory.

His current research interests include artificial intelligence, digital image analysis and processing, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and big data analytics.
