    We are thrilled to announce the start of production on "Kick Towards Hope", marking the third film by director Karim Khazan!

The documentary tells the powerful story of El Muez Mahgoub Abdalla, the former goalkeeper of the Sudan national football team, whose life was profoundly affected by the war in his country. Forced to leave Sudan, he arrives in Alexandria, Egypt, where he begins a new life away from the spotlight, starting from zero and rebuilding his future in an unfamiliar land.

Through exclusive interviews, archival footage, and on-location explorations, "Kick Towards Hope" delves into themes of resilience, displacement, and the pursuit of hope despite adversity.

Following the success of "Ghaly", this new project continues Khazan’s dedication to cultural storytelling and independent cinema, bringing a deeply human and emotional narrative to the screen.

The documentary is currently in production and is set to be released in 2026.


     We are proud to announce that GHALY has been officially selected to compete in the 9th Edition of Manassat Film Festival, which will        run from May 29 to May 31, 2025!

We are thrilled to announce that we have officially started shooting our new film, "Radiyah"! This marks the second feature by director Karim Khazan, following the success of GHALY.

"Radiyah" is based on "The Fool", a short story by the renowned novelist Anton Chekhov, with a screenplay written by Karim Khazan and Muhammad Nassef.

Starring the talented Egyptian actress Hannen Said and Canadian actor Pierre-Luc Brassard, "Radiyah" promises to bring a compelling and thought-provoking story to life.

While production is underway, we anticipate the film’s release by the end of the year—stay tuned for updates on this exciting project!

    We are thrilled to announce the official premiere of our documentary GHALY at Cairo Opera House on October 12, 2024, at 19:00.

    This powerful film documents the journey of Muhammad Ghaly, a man devoted to preserving the Simsimiyya heritage despite the           challenges he faces.

Following the screening, there will be an exclusive discussion with director Karim Khazan and Muhammad Ghaly, offering insights into the film’s making and the legacy of Simsimiyya music.

Directed by Karim Khazan, GHALY is a collaboration with Loft Gallery, Stabene Cultural Center, Port Said Ala Ademo Foundation, and Pierre-Luc Brassard, bringing together a shared commitment to cultural storytelling.


In this seventh edition of the festival, Zawya will compete with 31 distinguished films, which were selected from among the 300 films that applied to participate in the program.

We have just started filming our first documentary GHALY in collaboration with Loft Gallery, Stabene Cultural center, Port said Ala Ademo Foundation and Pierre-Luc Brassard.

The film reviews Egyptian folklore music, how it originated and developed up to the present time, and the research behind the stories of these songs.

The film is directed by Karim Khazan.

The Jury of the Short Film Competition, headed by producer Dr. Muhammad Al-Adl, announced the membership of Dr. Samir Farag, and director Ahmed Rashwan, won the prizes of the competition presented by Synergy Company, where the movie “Defect of Industry”, directed by Mohamed Nassef, won the first prize, with a value of 15,000 Egyptian pounds.

15 films participating in the 24th session of the Ismailia Festival

The management of the Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentary and Short Narrative Films has selected 15 films to participate in the short film competition of the 24th session of the festival.

The fourth edition of the International Film Festival of El-Managem will be held in Jerissa on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of December.

The 18th session, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iran, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Belgium, the United States of America, France, the Netherlands and Canada, in addition to Algeria, which will be the guest of honor for this session.

This session, which will witness the screening of a group of short films selected from among the 120 films registered in the competition.


The film will compete in the short film competition at the Al Marmoom Film Festival in Dubai, which includes 15 Arabian Movie, the members of the jury consist of Emirati director and producer Nahla Al Muhairi, Tony Al-Masih, Administrative Director at Fox Cinemas, Emirati Film Director Nujoom Alghanim and Executive Creative Events Amna Abulhoul.


The film will be a participant in the short film competition at the Cairo Francophone film festival for the second session, which includes 21 short films for this year from 11 countries around the world, Egypt, Armenia, Belgium, Senegal, Lebanon, Brazil, France, Ukraine, Austria, Poland and Greece.

The members of the jury consist of director of photography Saeed El-Shimi, journalist-critic Riyad Abu Awwad, artist Angie Abu Zaid, and film producer Magdy El-Husseini.


"MANUFACTURING DEFECT" will be the third and final collaboration between Khazan Pictures and Alf-Lam Creative Library. The story of the film is A boy searches for a way to get money to fix his computer but has no choice but to go to work as an assistant to his older brother in construction work. The film is proposed to be shot in June 2022 and end in October 2022. The film is written by Karim Khazan, directed by Mohamed Nassef, starring Muhammed Selim and Muhamed Karm.
