About Kanha National Park
Kanha National Park is located in the Maikal Hills the last leg of the Satpura Range. The park is located in three districts of Madhya Pradesh - Mandla, Raipur and Balaghat. It is home to the extinct Bengal Tiger and Hard Ground Barasingha. Kanha National Park is one of the most protected wildlife areas in India. The roar of the park comes from the successful conservation of leopard and strong swan deer.
Kanha Park was established in 1955 with special legislation to preserve the eco system, its tigers and large mammals and biodiversity. This park is a great story of the success of tiger conservation and habitat management in India. The Kanha landscape is an example of fun panoramic objects. The landscape is covered with mountains, forested areas, and vast grassy plains. In the middle cross many rivers - the Banjar and Halon tributaries are two major tributaries. There are a number of ponds, ponds and small ponds which are important support systems and make them habitable for all species - plants, birds, reptiles, mammals and insects. The park is the best place to see leopard and Central Indian mammals. The complex web of food chain is nowhere near as in Kanha. The park is now under Project Tiger Program.
