Education
The new Master degree educational program “Quantum technology and quantum computation” is being developed in collaboration with our colleagues from the USA and Poland under the Eager Impress-U project. Piloting of the program is expected for 2025/2026 academic year. This educational program will be implemented at the School of Physics and Technology at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
Special feature of the program is the involvement of highly qualified, hands-on experienced and well recognized lecturers and tutors from the top ranked Ukrainian research institutions (B. Verkin Institute of Low Temperature Physics and Engineering, Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology, National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»), quantum technology companies (Haiqu, Xanadu) and international partner institutions (Tulane University and University of Pittsburgh, USA, and Institute of Physics PAN, Poland).
Broader impact of this program is ensured by the multidisciplinary orientation and availability of double language (English/Ukrainian) studies.
Currently, the program is finalized and is under the licensing procedure in Ukraine. It is planned to recognize this Master program also by foreign institutions, in particular, by Tulane University, by signing corresponding international agreements.
KQC will dedicate significant efforts towards building public awareness of quantum science and its potential impact. The center is organizing public lectures, science seminars, winter/summer schools for students, science fairs, exhibitions, and science communication initiatives to engage the broader community and convey the significance of quantum research in shaping the future.
All aspiring quantum researchers are advised to review Introduction to Quantum Physics from the European Quantum Readiness Centre (EQRC). This is not only good practice in scientific English, but also an opportunity to learn a lot about the quantum world. 😀
