Welcome! Nature Inspired Soft Materials & Engineering Lab
I work at the intersection of soft matter physics, fluid mechanics, and interfacial science to understand and exploit nonequilibrium behavior in complex multiphase fluids. I am a materials scientist and chemical engineer, currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Carbon & Composites Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). My research mainly focuses on phase separation, interfacial jamming, and flow-mediated self-assembly to design bicontinuous, hierarchically porous and environmentally sustainable materials from abundant or discarded feedstocks.
