Privacy Policy for Status Saver

Khan Studio (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Status Saver Android application.

Information We Access

Status Saver may access the WhatsApp Media or .Statuses folder that you select through Android’s folder picker.

The App uses this access to:

• Display status photos and videos

• Play videos

• Save selected statuses

• Share statuses

• Delete saved statuses

• Organize favorite statuses

Status photos and videos are processed locally on your device. We do not upload your WhatsApp status media, messages, contacts, or account information to our own servers.

• You’re right. Those paths should not be presented as guaranteed absolute paths because Android versions, devices, storage volumes, and manufacturers can resolve them differently.

• Replace that section with:

Saved Media Location

• Status Saver saves images and videos to the device’s shared media storage using Android’s standard Pictures and Movies collections.

• The exact physical path may vary depending on the Android version, device manufacturer, storage volume, and system configuration. The App displays the currently resolved save locations in the Settings screen.

• Saved media remains on the device until you delete it manually. Uninstalling the App may not remove saved files from shared storage.

Favorite selections and app preferences are stored locally on your device.

Permissions

The App may request:

• Folder or storage access to read and save media

• Internet access for advertisements, analytics, and crash reporting

• Network-state access to detect connectivity

You can revoke permissions through Android settings at any time.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following Google services:

Google Mobile Ads

Google Mobile Ads may collect information such as IP address, advertising ID, device identifiers, app interactions, diagnostics, and advertisement interactions for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention.

Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics may collect app usage information such as app launches, sessions, device type, operating-system version, general location, and app-instance identifiers.

Firebase Crashlytics

Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash reports, device information, application state, app version, and installation identifiers to help us identify and fix technical problems.

We do not intentionally send your status photos, videos, WhatsApp messages, contacts, or file contents to these services.

Sharing

When you choose the Share option, Android sends the selected media to the application you choose. That application’s privacy policy will apply to any further processing.

We do not sell your WhatsApp status media or personal information.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local preferences and favorite information remain on your device until you clear the App’s data or uninstall the App.

Saved photos and videos may remain in public device storage after the App is uninstalled. You can delete them manually from the App or your device’s file manager/gallery.

You can also reset or delete your Android Advertising ID through Android settings.

Children’s Privacy

Status Saver is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

WhatsApp Disclaimer

Status Saver is an independent application and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc., or their subsidiaries.

Users are responsible for obtaining permission before saving or sharing content belonging to others.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or its services change. The updated version will include a revised effective date.
