Khan Plasticity Award

Khan International Award for Outstanding Lifelong Contributions to the Field of Plasticity

Recipients of the Khan International Award are being recognized for “outstanding life-long contributions in the field of plasticity primarily through research contributions in all international journals in general and International Journal of Plasticity in particular”. Other contributions such as books and monographs on plasticity, as well as service contributions such as review contributions and symposia organizations at all conferences including International Conference on Plasticity, Damage and Fracture, are also considered.  The Committee for the award consists of previous winners of the award with senior most member acting as the Chair, who retires to accommodate the new winner in the committee. The criterion for selection includes fifty percent numerical input based on citations of his/her research papers, plus fifty percent objective input by the committee members. The award was established by the founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Plasticity, Professor Akhtar S. Khan and his wife, Dr. Tanveer A. Khan.
