KhanaPay Privacy Policy

1. WHO WE ARE
KhanaPay ("the app", "we", "us") is a food ordering app for restaurants in Ahmedpur East, Pakistan. The app is published by Mr Techopia. You can contact us at mrfunopia@gmail.com.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Customers (no account needed)
You do not create an account to order food. When you place an order, you enter:
- your name
- your phone number
- your delivery address
- the items you ordered and your payment method (cash on delivery or online payment)
- optionally, a screenshot of your online payment, if you choose to attach one
Restaurants
Restaurant owners log in with an email address and password. We also store a notification token for the restaurant's phone so we can send new-order alerts.
On your device
The app saves a few settings on your own phone, such as your favorite restaurants and short timers that limit repeated orders and login attempts. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your location, contacts, or advertising ID. We do not show ads, and we do not use advertising or analytics tools in the app.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- To send your order to the restaurant you chose, so it can prepare and deliver it
- To let the restaurant confirm or cancel orders and see its order sheet
- To send new-order notifications to restaurants
- To keep the app secure and prevent misuse
4. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
- The restaurant you order from. It receives your name, phone number, address, order details and payment screenshot (if you attached one), because it needs them to deliver your order.
- Our service providers, who store and process data for us: Supabase (database, file storage and restaurant login) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications to restaurants). The app may also load fonts from Google Fonts, which, like any web request, can see your device's IP address.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. PAYMENTS
KhanaPay does not process payments. If you pay online, you send the money directly to the restaurant's account. The screenshot you attach is only proof of payment for that restaurant.
6. APP PERMISSIONS
- Internet: to load restaurants and place orders
- Photos and media: only when you attach a payment screenshot, or when a restaurant saves one to its phone
- Notifications: used by restaurants to receive new-order alerts
7. SECURITY
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Payment screenshots are kept in private storage and are available only to the restaurant that received the order and to the app administrator. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
8. RETENTION AND DELETION
Payment screenshots are deleted from our storage about every 15 days. Order records (name, phone number, address and items) are kept only as long as they are needed for the restaurant's order sheet and business records, and old records are deleted periodically. To ask us to delete your information sooner, email mrfunopia@gmail.com with the phone number you used to order, and we will remove the matching order records.
9. CHILDREN
KhanaPay is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
