Expertise and Career Summary:
I have been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geoinformatics at the University of Kashmir since May 2025. My specialization lies in Remote Sensing, Digital Image Processing, and Glaciology, with a strong research focus on the applications of Geospatial technology in glacier dynamics, glacier-climate interactions, and land system changes.
My research focuses on integrating geospatial technology with extensive field investigations to understand glacier dynamics, glacier-climate interactions, and land-system change. I am currently studying the glacial dynamics of the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Himalaya by combining satellite-based analyses with extensive fieldwork.
Through my teaching, research, and field experience, I aim to advance the understanding of Himalayan glacial systems and climate variability, drawing on interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative geospatial approaches to address pressing environmental questions in the region.
