Expertise and Career Summary:
I have been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geoinformatics, University of Kashmir, since May 2025. My specialization lies in Remote Sensing, Digital Image Processing, and Glaciology, with a strong research focus on the applications of Geospatial technology in glacier dynamics, glacier-climate interactions, and land system changes.
My current research integrates satellite-based analyses with extensive field investigations to understand the glacial dynamics of the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Himalaya. I aim to advance scientific understanding of climate-induced cryospheric changes and their implications for regional hydrology and land system evolution.
Through my teaching, research, and field experience, I strive to contribute to a deeper understanding of Himalayan glacial systems, climate variability, and their broader environmental impacts, using innovative geospatial approaches and interdisciplinary collaboration.
