As a physics educator, I believe that learning is most powerful when students are actively engaged in constructing their own understanding through inquiry, exploration, and reflection. My teaching philosophy is rooted in a learner-centered approach that blends inquiry-based learning, differentiation, and the NGSS, IB, and AP science practices to foster deep conceptual understanding and critical thinking.
I design hybrid lessons that integrate the 5E instructional model with real-world contexts and interactive digital tools like PhET, GeoGebra, and Blender to support modeling and visualization. I view physics not only as a body of knowledge, but as a process of asking questions, investigating phenomena, and communicating evidence-based explanations.
Equity in learning is essential to my practice. I differentiate instruction continuously—through scaffolding, formative assessments, and varied entry points—to meet the diverse needs of my students. Whether students are struggling or excelling, I believe every learner can grow when provided with the right challenges and support.
Ultimately, my goal is to empower students to think and act like scientists: to question, model, investigate, and explain their world with confidence, curiosity, and integrity. I strive to create a classroom culture where students take ownership of their learning and see science as relevant, meaningful, and attainable.
