In 1973, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. This combination of business and engineering knowledge gave Tabari the skills to excel in various industries.


Upon returning to the Middle East, Tabari joined the family business, Ranya Trading & Contracting, based in the United Arab Emirates. The company operated in various sectors, including electro-mechanical engineering, construction, and pharmaceuticals. This early experience in managing diverse business activities allowed Tabari to develop a well-rounded understanding of the complexities of entrepreneurship.


Gaining Global Experience


Tabari’s career took him overseas when he moved to London to work as Executive Director for Multiworld International. This company exports electrical materials, consumer products, and medical equipment. The company had operations in multiple international markets, including the UAE and Washington, D.C., and Tabari’s work there broadened his understanding of global business practices.


After his time in London, Tabari continued his career in Saudi Arabia as Executive Director at International Marketing & Development Company (INMA), a company focused on electrical and mechanical services contracting. His experience in these roles helped him develop critical skills in business management, international trade, and contracting that would serve him well in his entrepreneurial journey.


Venturing into Entrepreneurship


In the mid-1980s, Khaldoun Tabari took the bold step of founding his businesses. He started Tathniya (TEST) Electro-Mechanical Contracting in Saudi Arabia, focusing on mechanical and electrical services. The company quickly gained a reputation for high-quality work, and Tabari’s strong leadership helped it grow rapidly.


At the same time, Tabari launched TEST Contracting, a civil construction company based in Dubai. His commitment to excellence in engineering and construction led to the company’s success, and over time, Tabari expanded into real estate development. His projects spanned residential, commercial, and large-scale infrastructure developments across the Middle East, including Dubai, Riyadh, and Doha.


Expanding into New Ventures


Throughout his career, Khaldoun Tabari diversified his business portfolio. One notable expansion was his role in founding Emcor Facilities Management ME, a leading provider of facilities management services across the Middle East. The company specializes in mechanical and electrical construction, energy management, and infrastructure services and has established itself as a key player in the region.


In addition to his construction and facilities management ventures, Tabari also entered the automotive and fashion industries. He secured a Thrifty Rent-A-Car franchise in Jordan and entered into an apparel licensing agreement with Beverly Hills Polo Club (BHPC) for the Middle East. These ventures demonstrate his ability to identify opportunities outside his core industries and diversify his business holdings.


Philanthropy and Social Impact

He founded the Khaldoun Tabari Swiss Foundation, which focuses on advancing education, healthcare, and cultural preservation for Palestinian communities.
