My research interests are in the area of smooth dynamical systems. More precisely, I am interested in the study of geometric properties of partially hyperbolic and non-uniformly hyperbolic systems, particularly the use of the geometric techniques for statistical properties of flows. This includes the study of mixing properties of Anosov flows and equilibrium measures for certain geodesic flows. I am also interested in some Sub-Riemmanian geometric questions that arise from dynamical systems; this focuses on accessibility of partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism. This latter point leads to the study of topological obstruction on manifolds to carry dynamical systems with certain hyperebolicity.
I am an assistant professor at "Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA)''. Prior to this I was a Postdoc at the university of Bochum in Germany and University of Chicago in the United States respectively. I was a visiting scientist at the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). I received my PhD from the join program between ICTP and the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) under the supervision of Stefano Luzzatto. I did my undergraduate studies in Gaston Berger University in Senegal.
