The Postgraduate Course is based on open Source Software Gretl which has a range of materials provided, including Gretl itself
While the course uses Gretl the code in the link below does all the examples in Python and R (R-studio). The python code is in the form of Jupyter notebooks and the R in R notebooks. The python code can also be accessed using Google colab using - top right - "Pages", or the link below.
The reading for this course will be restricted to books. The main text is "Introductory Econometrics a Modern Appproach" by Jeffery Wooldridge (Link below). The text by Lee Adkins will also be useful (link below)
The two most important data sets to download are the Wooldridge Data set (since this will be the reference text for the course), but also the POE data set which is used in the book by Adkins, below. Note that the scripts are also available from the page below.

A) Review Basic Statistics
This one video by Justin Zeltzer is long, but it covers most of the key concepts about hypothesis testing from an undergraduate course in statistics!

iii) Using [file] > [sample file] > look for the affairs data below, and double click

This would be a good one to read. It is avaiable on JSTOR and other places. We don't expect you to understand the more technical bits but if you skip over those you should get the important points.
