Our curriculum aligns with the PYP’s transdisciplinary themes and concept-driven approach to support high-quality learning. Teachers collaborate to design engaging and appropriately challenging learning experiences, encouraging inquiry-based learning that stimulates critical thinking and creativity. Differentiated instruction and scaffolding strategies ensure all learners are supported and challenged.
Curriculum overviews are well-articulated and planned, with regular updates with parents through newsletters and Toddle platform. These overviews are designed to cater to students’ holistic development, incorporating IB learner profile attributes to address intellectual growth, physical activity, social interactions, and emotional well-being. Continuity and coherence in learning experiences enable students to make connections across subjects and apply their understanding in diverse contexts.
Teaching practices, aligned with the PYP’s key elements, foster engagement and meet students’ developmental needs. Unit plan integrate physical and social activities into daily routines, while the inquiry-based approach encourages emotional resilience and independence.
Evidence of our practices is visible in student portfolios, reflections, lesson plans, and unit announcements, newsletters as well as feedback from teachers, students, and parents. These practices demonstrate our commitment to aligning the curriculum with high-quality learning and holistic student development.

Our curriculum, guided by the PYP scope and sequence, ensures clear articulation of expected learning outcomes. The Toddle application enhances communication with parents by sharing detailed unit information, including the central idea, lines of inquiry, and learning goals, allowing parents to understand their children's learning journey. We provide opportunities for personal growth through inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to reflect the IB learner profile and grow as thinkers, communicators, and risk-takers. Personal development is embedded in daily routines, starting with morning assemblies that emphasize well-being, intercultural respect, and critical thinking. After-school clubs further allow students to explore interests and develop attributes such as creativity and collaboration. C2
The Toddle application ensures comprehensive documentation and accessibility for educators and parents, supporting a seamless learning journey. Through PYP’s transdisciplinary themes, students explore global issues, participate in international celebrations, inquiry-based units, and community projects, fostering an understanding and appreciation of diversity. Language learning in both English and Arabic enhances multilingual communication skills and intercultural competencies.
Digital citizenship is a key focus, teaching students safe and responsible technology use. We integrate resources from CommonSense.org, offering age-appropriate lessons on protecting personal information, respecting others online, and navigating the digital world safely. These lessons are introduced early and reinforced before students use electronic devices.
The Highlights digital library at APG Kindergarten helps students learn to use tablets safely under teacher supervision, ensuring meaningful technology use. The principles of digital citizenship are embedded in daily lesson plans and communicated to parents through the Toddle application, which provides detailed learning goals, outcomes, and curriculum plans.
