Karly Forker
I am a biochemist at Duke University studying the DNA damage tolerance pathway, translesion DNA synthesis (TLS). As a structural biologist, I study the molecular architecture of key protein machinery involved in TLS, a pathway hijacked by cancer cells to develop chemoresistance. Toward teaching, I am involved as a teaching assistant, private tutor, and mentor to undergraduates and rotation students in the lab. I am also enrolled in the Certificate for College Teaching.
