At 12 am GMT/BST, the players receive an email featuring the link to Google Form with 10 questions. Sometimes there are delays due to technical problems with the mailing service. Please count on it.
Players have 24 hours to submit their answers. If they are sent after deadline expired, the organizer is allowed to ignore them.
If you have not received an email, always check your spam folder before contacting the organizer. This is a relatively common problem, especially with non-Gmail users.
In the email, players will find the "Play" button to click on. This will send players straight to a google form with questions.
Before seeing the questions, players will need to enter their email - preferably the one they used during the registration, and select their own name in the dropdown.
There is no time limit. Theoretically, you can think about your answers for 24 hours. However, in practice, the organizer recommend that you spend no more than 3 to 5 minutes.
Players are allowed to answer in their native language, always indicating the language in brackets.
After players submit the form, they should received a copy of their answer to the email they filled. Sometimes google glitches can result in copies not being sent, but your response will still be counted. Be aware of this potential problem. You have the option to check with the organizer whether he has received your response.
The confirmation message of the Google Form includes a link to a Google Drive folder with the answers. Players don’t need to download them immediately, as at the end of the week they will receive copies of all the questions and answers from the previous week, along with an Anki file.
The results of particular day will be updated the next day around 12 pm GMT/BST. Results are not sent by email. Players will have to open the Google Spreadsheet with the results themselves.
If players find an error in their results, they should send an email to knowledge.facts.ladder@gmail.com asking them to recheck. The organizer will let you know if the answer was not counted due to human error or if there was some reason.
Last, but most importantly. Don't cheat. KFL is a non-proctored online league but it doesn't mean we don't track or don't analyze our players. Players who perform above expectations will certainly be tested under tighter conditions through a Zoom call, which will be recorded. The KFL will never renew player subscriptions if there is a high risk of unfair play. Please remember that all of us here are fans of the quiz and want to learn something new.
