Who is Keystone Fury for?
Our program is open to girls in K-8th who are interested in learning lacrosse through our recreational program
What's lacrosse all about?
Girls will have an opportunity to join a team with their peers to learn the skills of lacrosse, while participating in organized practices, league games and scheduled tournaments. No experience is necessary to join!
Where are practices and games located?
Practices are held outdoors at Central Dauphin Middle School (CDMS) and games are scheduled throughout the mid-state. Locations typically include; Mechanicsburg, Lower Dauphin, Cumberland Valley and Chambersburg.
When are practices and games held?
Practices are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30pm-7pm starting in March. Once games begin in April, practices will drop down to Monday and Wednesday. League games are played on the weekends in April and May - Saturday and Sunday depending on the weekend. Games can be scheduled in the morning or afternoon and two games are played on the same day per team.
What kind of equipment is needed?
Each player is required to bring a girls lacrosse stick (different design than boys, so please make sure to check with your coaches before making a purchase to ensure the proper stick is bought), goggles, cleats and a mouthguard. It's also very important to make sure your player's stick is the right size - always better to buy longer and have it cut down.
How do I register?
Registration can be completed by going to our Registration Page on the website. Prior to registration, each player must become a registered member of the USA Lacrosse organization for insurance purposes.
Can my daughter try out lacrosse before committing to the season?
Absolutely! We host camps throughout the year for all experience levels. It's a great way to see what lacrosse is all about before making the decision to register.
