I'm excited to introduce a new class this year! I have had years of experience bringing students together into band combos where they have prepared musical setlists for various productions and events. Students learn to work together, compromise on song choices, learn to communicate well with each other, learn to work through mistakes and perform in small (and sometimes large) venues. 

Requirements for Band Lab: 

• Students must audition to be accepted to this class. Each student will bring a song they are proficient at playing, and will be given a piece of music to play at the audition to access their ability to learn something new.

• Students must have their own instrument (Band Lab has drums, bass, guitars and a piano to use for class, but students must have their own instruments to practice during the week.)

• Students must commit to a 2-hour class, one day each week (students who are not able to be present each week may be terminated from the band to ensure the quality of the music and the morale of the rest of the team.) 

There will be 2 separate Band Labs each week meeting on Mondays at 5-7 pm and Tuesdays at 5-7 pm. Students will be assembled with similar musical abilities. 

At the end of a semester we will perform the songs we have practiced at a small venue where our friends and family will be able to enjoy our hard work! 

Band lab is $100/week with some weeks off for school holidays. There will be approximately 10 lessons during the Fall Semester. We will plan for a November Music Show and then take December off. (Spring Semester TBA)

Auditions will be held the 1st week of school as our schedules permit. If you are available to audition before school starts please contact me-It would be very helpful to get that sorted before Band Lab Begins the 2nd week of school! If I know your student's abilities already, the audition will be waived.
