Jesse Bent spent 23 years in active duty with the U.S. Air Force. As his service time neared an end, he prepared for four CLEP exams in order to earn his associate’s degree, which had for years eluded him. Jesse used that momentum to eventually earn a master’s degree in cybersecurity.

Kaitlyn Besley, a 19-year-old from Western Michigan, prepared for six CLEP tests, passing each one on her first attempt. She’s saved almost a year’s worth of tuition and other costs because of CLEP, and has become an advocate for Modern States among her friends. We can’t thank her enough for helping.

For Jena Bernardo, taking just one CLEP course made all the difference. The Air Force veteran needed only to complete College Composition to earn her associate’s degree, though she struggled to find the motivation and confidence to take it in a traditional college classroom. She then finished the degree.

Adrian Hernandez Vega is going places, but not at his family’s expense. The 16-year-old used CLEP to earn 36 college credits for free, saving his parents about $50,000 in tuition. Though still in high school, he’s now two classes from earning his bachelor’s degree.

Gabriel Ping used CLEP to fulfill the coursework needed to complete the Texas First Early High School Completion program, allowing him to graduate high school at the age of 15. That honor also helped him draw the attention of a top company in San Antonio, culminating in a distinguished internship to kick.

The Cruz sisters, 18-year-old Jaquelin and 16-year-old Santana, have the rare — if not singular — distinction of having each earned an associate’s degree while still in high school. They used CLEP to save time and money along their education journey.

We first spoke to Ahmad Salem in 2021 after he used CLEP to earn his associate’s degree prior to graduating high school. Ahmad didn’t stop there. The 23-year-old software engineer already earned his doctorate.

Bishwash Khadka, an international student from Nepal, used Free CLEP classes to help him pass the Chemistry and Biology CLEP exams, which gave him free credits and allowed him to graduate a semester early from McNeese State University. He recommends CLEP to all his friends, including other international students who can use CLEP to demonstrate academic competency accepted by US Colleges and Universities.
