Adding Bass notes to chords gives more depth in the sound
The Bass note of a chord is the Root note of the chord (i.e. alphabet name of the chord)
E.g. Bass note of Am chord is A
E.g. Bass note of C chord is C
Bass notes are usually played on the left most part of the keyboard (Red Zone), where the low sounds are
Bass notes are usually played using the Left Hand
To play the bass note of each chord, use the thumb or index finger of your Left Hand
Play through these 4 chords with both hands:
Right Hand plays the 3 notes that make up the chord
Left Hand plays the Bass note
On the Left Hand, press and sustain each Bass note for 4 beats,
On the Right Hand, play the Accompaniment Pattern
Play along to the Video or the Music Backing Track
Once you are ready, let your teacher or student listen. Get a Red card if you pass.
