Design Workshops Playtesting
I founded a student organization for board game design and play during my first year at Vanderbilt University, where I dove deep into the board gaming hobby.
I love sharing the joy of gaming and running workshops that help bring others' game ideas into reality. I was an enthusiast, running around to invite students to our events, ensuring everyone walking by quickly found a game to play, and mentoring anyone during the buds of their realization that they CAN design board games.
We created a board game library. We created a prototyping components library. We ran introductory brain storming workshops (using the fabulous http://www.boardgamizer.com/ ). We collaborated with a wide range of student organizations to host game nights and share the fun.
After my 2017 graduation, Vanderbilt Gamecraft continues to grow while I, now in the Minneapolis MN area, continue to design games and playtest at local events.
