I am currently pursuing my PhD in economics at the University of Oregon. Born and raised in South Korea, I first set foot in the U.S. in 2006, landing in Columbus, Ohio, where I attended middle school and high school for one semester each. In 2016, I earned dual BAs in economics from Indiana University Bloomington and SungKyunKwan University, followed by an MA in economics from SungKyunkwan University.

My goal is to make at least small contribution in the field of growth and development, particularly concerning demographic changes. My ultimate goal is to become an expert who, I hope, can provide insights and suggestions to address the challenges countries face with ageing populations and declining fertility rates.

Outside of my research, I love to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy watching movies and dramas, and playing tennis and soccer for fun. It is always pleasure to meet new people, especially if we share interests. But even if we don't, I found every interaction brings a change to learn something new!
