Shea’s original paintings include popular scenes of Martha's Vineyard and Naples Florida. Boston landmarks are recurring themes with Boston Public Garden being the first of many locations Shea has focused on.  Collections also include city streets and gardens, colorful cafes, coastal views with sailboats at sunset, and lighthouse paintings.  With decades of experience as an onsite artist and selling to art collectors Shea has gained an intuitive knowledge of what people are drawn to in art. “The canvas becomes a backdrop for something personal and timeless, reflecting a memory filled with atmosphere and light .”

Limited Editions and Canvas Editions of Boston and New England

Kevin Shea’s most popular paintings are available as limited edition prints, and Giclee prints on canvas, signed and numbered by the artist. They include Boston’s Fenway Park, Red Sox game day scenes, Boston Public Garden in spring, summer and winter, and the streets of Boston. Coastal paintings feature sailboats, dunes, and sea roses along picturesque beaches in New England. Limited editions and canvas editions of Tuscany and Florida paintings are also available upon request.

Plein Air Painting Workshops and Tuscany Painting Adventures

Kevin Shea, a third generation artist, brings a wealth of knowledge to his popular plein air painting workshops and Tuscany Painting Adventures. A direct  approach is taken to subject matter with emphasis on design, color and drawing to interpret outdoor subjects and atmosphere. Painting excercises and instruction are included in a setting where the painting novice or professional feel comfortable working at their own pace. Subjects include landscape, seascape, and city. An encouraging  process has been pivital in the lives of many workshop participants.
