Selected student comments:
- "One of my favorite professors I have had at UGA. Mr. Sample made the class very enjoyable to come to and learn. Everyday atmosphere was friendly and the class as a whole connected throughout the semester instead of the typical come to class, learn, leave. I would definitely take another class with Sample if i could."
- "He was very good at keeping the class engaged and this helped me retain the information. Very caring and helpful and wants his students to succeed!"
- "Kevin is the man. One of my favorite professors/teachers I have ever had. He gives assignments that are applicable to the real world and they are very helpful. He gets to know his students pretty well and he genuinely cares about us. Students enjoyed coming to class to see him."
- "I think he made students comfortable in class and gave feedback quickly. I don't think there is anything he could improve on."
- "He has been a very positive influence in my life even though this is my first semester taking him. I have gained a new perspective of teachers because of him. Coming to this class where he is very funny, forms bonds with the students so it doesn't feel like some huge line between professor and students that makes the classroom feel cold and too formal, and his care to help his students succeed made me feel secure and comfortable in the environment. That tends to mean a lot to someone who has anxiety and depression that effects their day-to-day life. I ended up missing a bit of class due to these problems, but unlike some professors, he did not get mad at me and was understanding, which causes this class to be a safe space for me. His passion for the material and the obvious desire of having all of his student succeed and learn made this class my favorite class I have ever taken at UGA and him my favorite instructor. I cannot think of any improvements he needs to make. He is a very fun, thorough, and helpful professor! We need more professors like him in this world!"
- "Super great! Very relateable and down to earth. Very well liked by the class and has been one of my favorite professors so far. You can tell he cares a lot about his students and wants us all to succeed."
- "Professor Sample was great! He was engaging and informative, and I would take another course by him again."
- "Very clear and kept the class interesting."
- "He was very relatable to his students and was always respectful"
- "He encouraged everyone to get involved in the class. He's a great teacher."
- "I thought the teacher was wonderful. He made the class very participation-based and engaging. I enjoyed going to class because of this and definitely would take a class with him again if I could."
- "He is awesome! Made this kinda boring material very interesting! He did his best to make it more fun, and got the class to really interact and learn the material in a fun way. I really enjoy going to this class because he is very good at making relationships with his students!!! I highly recommend him!"
- "The instructor was great. It relates well with us, also really caring towards the class. He knows everyones name, and remembers little details about you as an individual, it makes the class seem more personal. He had good, relatable examples, and also gave us time to share some of the the classes personal examples for a better understanding of the idea being presented."
- "He was very knowledgeable about the topic and explained everything effectively. I can't think of anything Kevin needs to improve on."
- "Really helped me understand the material but made me want to go to class as well. By far my favorite professor this semester"
- "The professor worked hard to make this class successful for his students. I learned a lot about topics very pertinent to my degree and in an interesting hands on way. The professor was very transparent and approachable in any situation and worked hard to make sure the material was interesting, relatable, and of value to the students in his class."
