Research
Statement
My research interests are interdisciplinary, but
centered on Ecology; more accurately trophic
ecology, with an emphasis on invasive species
impacts on systems.
Utilizing stable isotopic ratios of 15N/14N and 13C/12C,
which indicate
the trophic level at which and where within habitats species feed, respectively,
I construct statistical models (e.g.: Stable Isotope Analysis in R, mixing models for example); that with a knowledge of Genetics,
and using
bioinformatics software for sequence data analysis (e.g.: Geneious), I define
the trophic structure within habitats; while simultaneously confirming species identities therein.
