Background

I am pleased to announce that beginning in June 2024, I will start as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Brigham Young University, Provo! I am currently a Peter J. O'Donnell Postdoctoral Fellow at the Oden Institute at the University of Texas, Austin working with Dr. Rachel Ward.

My research interests broadly lie in the mathematics of data science and statistical learning theory; in particular, active learning, subset selection problems, and graph-based methods.

I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCLA studying active learning and uncertainty in graph-based learning under the direction of Dr. Andrea Bertozzi. I was supported by the DOD's NDSEG Research Fellowship and an NSF NRT Fellowship. I completed my undergraduate degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics at BYU in Provo, Utah.
