Before leaving San Francisco, I set myself a challenge: thirty paintings in thirty days. It was a way to honor the city while I was still inside it. The fog, the color, the strange beauty of its neighborhoods, and the people who made it home all found their way into the work. The series became a daily act of attention and gratitude. This is a selection from that month. All works are acrylic on wood panel.
polaroid portraits
During the pandemic, while living in Austin, I turned to a box of old Polaroids I had taken over the years. They held small, imperfect moments with friends and family. Each painting is inspired by one of those photographs. The series became a way to reach across distance and reconnect. Every piece is a celebration of the people in my life and the memories we share. All works are acrylic on wood panel.
