Mama Wednesday was broody at the start of March. We first tried hatching Ayam Cemani eggs under her, which unfortunately did not work. Eventually, we decided to put 3 of our silkie eggs under her since we had a rooster. After a week, we candled the eggs and saw 2 embryos. She had kicked out the "bad egg" that was infertile. At the end of 21 days, the chicks began to hatch. Over the next week, we constantly monitored them, checking up on how they were behaving and acting. They just recently started to go outside with her mom Wednesday!
