I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Raipur. My research focuses on the dynamics of Global Value Chains and particularly issues related to international trade, with a special focus MSMEs. More specifically, my research examines questions related to firm performance, innovation, firm survival in global markets, and the rising role of new technology in the form of digitalization, automation and Industry 4.0 on firm dynamics from a trade perspective.
I obtained my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, and Post-Doctoral Research at King's College London. I am the recipient of the Institute Research Award from IIT Madras and the recipient of the First Vice-Chancellor Dr. K.V.S. Gold Medal - M.Sc Economics from Pondicherry University. I have also been a Visiting Research Fellow at the India Institute, King's College London. I have also collaborated as external consultant with leading think tanks such as Asian Development Bank Institute and Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia.
