I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Raipur and a Visiting Research Fellow at the India Institute, King's College London.  

I obtained my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where my research focused on the Dynamics of Global Value Chains of Indian manufacturing firms. I am the recipient of the Institute Research Award from IIT Madras and the recipient of the First Vice-Chancellor Dr. K.V.S. Gold Medal - M.Sc Economics from Pondicherry University.  

My research largely circles around the issues related to International Trade, with a special focus on firm-level perspective, especially MSMEs. More specifically, my research examines questions related to firm performance, innovation, firm survival in global markets, and the rising role of new technology in the form of digitalization, automation and Industry 4.0 on firm dynamics from a trade perspective. 

I have published in journals like Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Small Business Economics, World Economy, International Review of Economics & Finance, Global Finance Journal, Information Economics & Policy, Journal of Economics and Business, Economic & Political Weekly among others. I have also collaborated with leading think tanks such as Asian Development Bank Institute and Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia.
