I'm Associate Professor of Political Theory at the University of Leeds, UK.
I work in contemporary political philosophy, particularly in human rights theory. You can find links to my books and other publications on the following pages.
I studied at the University of Aberdeen and the University of Glasgow. I then held a British Academic Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of York before landing at Leeds, where I've been since 2012.
I'm a queer, gender non-conforming, first generation scholar, and that experience has motivated my longstanding commitment to improving equality, diversity and inclusion in the academy.
