I am a scientist, father, and according to my wife, “handyman on the farmstead,” who believes that partisanship has no place in our school boards. I intend to promote academic excellence through responsible budgeting and pursuing untapped opportunities. I believe in supporting both teachers and students with dignity and respect.
Ryan Kerney with our state amphibian - Cryptobranchus alleganiensis, the eastern hellbender. These remarkable animals are found in clean clear waters in Pennsylvania. Kerney researches amphibians to further understand their complex biology and conserve these natural treasures. This work incorporates the wider community of science and environmental education, which offers many unique educational opportunities for GASD students. (Photo credit Xanthe Elbrick).
