Keri Withington (she/her) is an Appalachian poet and educator. Originally from Atlanta, she has lived in many places across the U.S., as well as in Austria and England. She currently lives in the Appalachian foothills of East Tennessee with her family, animals, and many plants.
She has published many poems and two chapbooks, as well as short fiction and non-fiction. Her two full length collections--Thoughts and Prayers and Choose Your Own Apocalypse--are currently under consideration with presses. She hopes they will find a home and appear in print soon.
Her work is often deeply physical and unapologetically political.
She has a bachelors in English, masters in Writing for Children, and graduate certificate in Women's Studies, as well as attending many conferences, workshops, and writing groups.
Keri is an associate professor of English at Pellissippi State Community College.
