Kerem Tuzcuoglu
Welcome to my website.
I am a Principal Researcher at the Bank of Canada. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University. I am also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Monetary and Financial Economics.
My research interests lie in theoretical and applied econometrics, time series and panel data models, and Bayesian econometrics with applications to macroeconomics, monetary economics, and finance.
Currently, I'm working on analyzing drivers of inflation, assessing the impact of conventional and unconventional monetary policy, modeling the probability of recessions, measuring the effects of uncertainty, and building new dynamic nonlinear panel data models. At the Bank of Canada, I'm conducting research and policy work to analyze the risks associated with domestic and foreign shocks on the Canadian Economy via nonlinear time series models.
