BBQ - Friday night before the outing at 6:30pm- 8:30pm (BYO food and drinks)

please nominate if you wish to host (more friendlier atmosphere great way to introduce yourself to the club)

otherwise a public venue will be chosen (advertised by Facebook page)

All outings start at 12:01 AM on the Saturday and finish at 4:00 PM on the Sunday of the nominated outing weekend

You can fish anywhere even if your away on holidays
Virtual weigh in is via Email or FB Messenger

G'day mate! Welcome to the Keppel Bay Sportfishing Club—the spot where families, friends, and fishos (that's fishermen/women!) come together for a great time on the water. We're based right here in sunny Yeppoon and proudly flying the flag for ANSA Qld.

We’re a bunch of passionate anglers who aren’t just focused on what’s biting today, but on keeping our sport awesome for tomorrow. Think of us as the guardians of the good times! We're big fans of:

🏷️ Tagging Research: Because we love catching them, but we also love watching them swim off healthy!
🐟 Stocking Our Impoundments: Helping to keep those freshwater honey holes well-stocked.

🗓️ Our Calendar: Fishing, Feeds, and Family Fun!

We keep the calendar full of excuses to get out there:

Monthly Outings: Our main events! They usually involve:
- The Friday Night BBQ Warm-Up: Come on down for a snag and a yarn. It's the perfect time to recruit a deckie, find a spot on a boat, or just swap a few totally true fishing tales.
- The Main Event: Lines in from midnight Saturday until 4 PM Sunday.
- Virtual Weigh-In: Sunday afternoon at 4 PM. Snap a pic, enter your catch, and see how you stack up (no stinky queues required!).
Social & Family Weekends: We throw in 1-2 extra weekends a year to just chill and explore! We head to awesome spots like Great Keppel Island (GKI), 1770, Stanage, and the beautiful freshwater arteries of the Dawson/Isaac River. Bring the kids, the bait, and the marshmallows!
