My CV should be here (as of April 2026).

About

I come from Japan (my name is written in kanji as 掛波 健太). My family name is quite rare with approximately 50 people recorded as holding it (Link).

Before coming to UMass, I worked as a high-school teacher and later as a university lecturer. While teaching at high school, I also coached the swimming club though I can't swim myself. Outside of linguistics, I cook Japanese food and unauthentic Asian food.
