I worked for ZARA for three months right after entering this university as a part-timer. I wore these clothes for my job interview because I could wear whatever I wanted to wear for it. I bought it last May, and I have a lot of memories of it. My journey with these clothes just started at that time.
As I entered the University of Tsukuba, I became interested in fashion. This outfit is the first outfit that I bought after entering university, which means the first outfit that I bought after becoming interested in fashion. So, since I got this outfit, I always loved this and wear it often, especially when I do something special such as hanging out with my friends or traveling. I went to Taiwan last June, and I also wore these clothes there. The Taiwan trip was my first traveling alone, so it is my special memories with this outfit. Looking back at a lot of my memories with this outfit, I could not help having a feeling of sadness when I threw it away.
Traveling Taiwan with this clothes

I wear clothes every day as every person in this world does. So, I have to buy some clothes every day, because it is essential to live in this world. Moreover, I am working for H&M as a part-timer, so I need to buy more clothes compared to other people who do not work in the apparel industry because appearance is really important for apparel staff. As more clothes I buy, there are more clothes I have to throw away. I threw away this outfit because this got caught in a tree and ripped its backside. When I broke it, I was too busy to pay attention to my surroundings and didn’t see what was there. My carelessness forced me to throw my favorite clothes away.

I am writing this article after I threw the outfit away, however through writing this section and reading an article about dumpster diving, I thought I might have been able to repair the clothes and reuse them. According to an article that I read, dumpster diving is not only picking up still edible food but also picking up clothes that can be worn with a little fixing(サスティナビリティのライター, 2022). This definition makes me realize that I should rethink my waste pattern.
